Falso caso de Neumonía lipoidea en España

Recently news broke that there had been a case of pneumonia lipoideia in Spain, in A Coruña. Early rumors, false indeed pointed to electronic cigarettes as only culprits. The patient confirmed that he was a former smoker who smoked around 40 cigarettes a day and that during his stay at the hospital reached to vape 5 complete loads every day.

Quickly, ANVE (Spanish National Association Vapeadores) denied any relationship of pneumonia with electronic cigarettes because its vapor only contains harmless substances that in no case can cause lipoid pneumonia.
Millions of people around the world (more than 70) use the electronic cigarette daily, but some sectors and industries do not agree that this business will grow quite the contrary. That's why, it appears this type of news and which will appear in the coming months, with the aim of damaging the sector.
To date there is no study that shows that electronic cigarettes are harmful for vapers or third people. Vapor electronic cigarettes contain flavorings, vegetable glycerin, propylene glycol and nicotine, none of which are harmful to the human body.
Only time-based and more accurate studies may show that the vapor inhaled by vapers pose no health risk and around them.
